Yup, a law in Utah now makes it possible for women to be investigated upon having a miscarriage. Any attempt to abort outside of medical is illegal and the women themselves are to blame. Since the potential things that could cause miscarriage include booze, coffee, horseback riding, driving on bumpy roads, handling cat poop, this just opens a Pandora's box (or should that be Pandora's womb?) of potential problems. Imagine, woman has a miscarriage...huge fucking disappointment and basically DEATH OF HER SOUL...and the police now (if the law is followed correctly and not selectively enforced) now HAVE to investigate it. They'll have to see, did she drink coffee a lot, what did she do to cause this miscarriage? Yes, a grieving ex-mother will now have to be cross examined and drilled to see "How is it YOUR fault". Beautiful message.

For more fun... The sentence is a potential life in prison. I'm fairly sure a good deal of rapists get away with less. So this means if a woman is raped, and throws herself down a flight of stairs in depression, miscarrying the fetus, SHE can face a greater sentence than her rapist...
