This one is my favorite. That's two mosquito nerrids from two different instars, the larger one about ready to pupate, and they are living and have lived their entire lives so far in just the water suspended by surface tension between the engravings of my deck table....they are amazingly hardy little buggers.

the bee is my favorite - and not by default because of my arachno-ickiness! these are great shots, tho....was the tiny "pool" in the last one supported on any surface? looks like a reflection in the bottom - or is that the ground under the table?! if it is that's wild!
